I when to Jobb og Utdanninsmessa (the Work and education fare) in Lillestrøm today, to have a look around, and to see if I found find the stand that the University of the Arts London where suppose to have.
From a quick look around the fare, I wasn’t able to see the stand, so I asked the information. Apparently the university only have a stand combined with other collages now. So I went for another walk and talked to all the places I found that have 4-6 different small tables for different uni’s, but I couldn’t find my school.
Eventually I found it.
But I only found it because I looking in the magazine that was on display. This was a BIG disappointment, as I was hoping to find someone connected to the Uni or at least find something that said University of the Arts London. There was a very nice and friendly Swedish man standing there, but he didn’t know anything about the schools it seemed. This is understandable as he was supposed to represent about 20 from different countries, but it was such a shame.
He told me that several people had approached him and mentioned my University by name because they where looking for it, and some of these came with a portfolio.
I couldn’t believe that the Uni’s stand has changed so much since the day I was there with my portfolio and got offered a place.I’m going to have to talk to someone about this when I get back, and volunteer to stay there and talk to student.
I love living in London and love my University.
More Norwegian people should know how great it it.
